It allows women the opportunity to maintain their independence while enjoying homelike surroundings. The home is a spacious, one-floor facility with sixteen private rooms, each with a half bath. The gracious living room has a fireplace and large screen TV. A large screened porch has access to a fenced yard. APP History and Program Details History Arnett Pritchett Place operates within a beautiful brick building located in the Chevy Chase neighborhood. The home was established in 1935 with an endowment from the estate of Arnett Pritchett to serve elderly ladies of the Fayette County community. In 1955, a new home was constructed at the current Duke road site. We are recognized as a pioneer in giving recognition and services to the elderly. Program Details APP includes two full time employees, with floor staff and cooking services outsourced to a professional agency. Our experienced staff provide the residents with consistent care and a sense of security on an ongoing basis. All staff receive regularly scheduled continuing education. APP is a spacious, one-floor facility with 16 private rooms, each with half baths. Centered on a tree-shaded lot in Chevy Chase, APP offers a large, screened porch and a fenced-in yard. Women relax in a gracious common living room, complete with fireplace and cable television service. Services include round-the-clock trained staff supervision, planned activities, administering of medication, meals and snacks, daily living assistance, dietary consultant, laundry service, part-time beautician, registered nurse consultant, and a weekly cleaning service. The staff at APP is dedicated to providing a warm, caring home for its residents. APP has central air conditioning and emergency generator for power failures.
